Entergy’s Waterford 3 Nuclear Generating Station and River Bend Station in Louisiana and Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Mississippi operated at full power during Hurricane Francine, which once again shows the resiliency and strength of nuclear power.
According to the National Hurricane Center's latest forecast, Hurricane Francine will make landfall near Vermillion Bay as a Category 1 hurricane this afternoon. We anticipate this storm could have widespread impacts throughout our entire Entergy Mississippi service area and are watching to see how it may affect both our systems and our customers. We are prepared and want you to have a plan, too.

The Edison Electric Institute recently awarded Entergy with its 49th Emergency Recovery Award, recognizing the dedication and excellence of our power restoration workers. Entergy was specifically recognized for outstanding restoration efforts earlier this year following a severe weather event that traveled a large portion of our service area.
